Leafly is the world’s largest online cannabis resource, providing broad education and connecting consumers, dispensaries, and producers on their comprehensive online platform. They produce a lot of content, and they were looking for a fresh take on the cannabis scene. I was given the opportunity to help them improve customer engagement and push the boundaries of what had been a relatively limited brand palette.
Leafly’s needs ranged from small monthly assets for in-app dispensary deals and editorial content, to high level multi-channel marketing campaigns for their biggest annual events. By embracing the vibrancy of the community—and leaving the stoner cliches behind—I was able to help them evolve their core brand and create marquee experiences for key engagements.

The Golden Age 420 Campaign 
This multi-channel marketing campaign focused on in-app notifications and deals, email newsletters, editorial content, and social media take-overs.
Strain of the Year Campaign
Leafly is well-known for their SOTY award, meticulously culling information on best-sellers and trends nation-wide. Both a teaser and announcement campaign was built around the 2023 winner, Permanent Marker.
BudHub Creative
Cannabis dispensary “budtenders” are an integral part of the recreational purchasing experience. Leafly wanted to create content tailored specifically to budtenders and the events/awards celebrating them.
