Desert Design Week is a biannual, city-wide celebration of art, design, architecture, and community, shaped by the creative energy of the Southwest. Petecia Le Fawnhawk built a pop-up shop within the Amery Bohling Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ. Her immersive experience highlighted her fine art fashion, sculpture and photography drawing inspiration from the desert and celebrating the work of her artist and artisan partners.
I developed and designed a short-run newsprint booklet to encompass the pop-up's energy and experience. It served as both a catalogue of the represented pieces and information for viewers about the artists showcased in the collaborative pop-up. The event's exclamation point was the closing ceremony celebrating the inspiration of Georgia O'Keeffe, showcasing Le Fawnhawk's painstakingly accurate replica of the famous "Georgia O'Keeffe Dress".
